Happy 4th Birthday, Braden!

Happy Birthday to you! My dear sweet Braden turned 4 on the 17th! Wow, I have a 4-year-old! I will have to scan a baby picture of him and post it later. Back in the "olden days" when he was born, we didn't have a digital camera. My how times have changed in just 4 short years!
Braden loves learning new things, making silly faces, showing his muscles, and teaching his brother. Like most boys, he loves cars and likes to run around. He's very intellectual and analytical. Sometimes I think he's got the world figured out more than I do. Braden likes to figure out how things work and wants to know what he's getting into before he tries something new. I like to call him my creative-genius. He has a heart of gold and is very tender. I hope these traits stick with him forever! He is so wonderful and I'm so proud to be called his mommy! Braden, I love you. These past four years have been filled with wonderful memories that I'll never forget!
His birthday bash started off with a birthday breakfast at The Egg and I. They even sang to him and gave him a blueberry muffin with a candle! He was stunned when a bunch of strangers came up and started singing to him. After he caught on, he smiled really big and was somewhat embarrassed. We enjoyed some time at the splash park and tried our best to stay cool in our 111 degree weather on his birthday!

Here's the birthday boy playing with a race track he got from Gramps
Papa T, Grammy Juju, Auntie Aubri and Nana along with the boys just chillin' (or at least trying to!) Our AC froze over and stopped working when we went out to see the movie UP. We left a nice cool apartment and came back to one that was 82 degrees and rising! It was fixed... for a few hours and now its broken again! They promise to fix it in the morning... We'll see about that.
How old are you, Braden? 4?! Wow! Here's his Batman birthday cake which he has requested since my birthday back in April! He is such a huge fan of Cars I was sure he wanted a Cars cake but I was dead wrong! Batman all the way!
This was taken only half way through! His hands and chin were covered in blue icing by the time he was through!
Happy Birthday buddy!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Travis!

One year ago today:

I can't believe my baby turned one today! Time has flown by! We had a little celebration for my little guy complete with cake and ice cream. Next week we will get to celebrate BOTH boys' birthdays with Grammy JuJu, Papa T and Auntie Aubri (and Nana of course!) How blessed I am to have this little one in my life!

Travis is learning to walk. He'll take 2 steps by himself but then realize he's not holding onto anything and sit down or crawl. He is the biggest mamma's boy there ever was! He loves to make silly faces and is super animated and very dramatic. He is a good sleeper (once he gets to sleep) but screams and cries when he wakes up alone in his crib. He loves to share and play with his brother and loves playing in the pool and bath. His smile is bright enough to light any room!
Here is Travis with the birthday bear. I got the bear a few months ago. He sings happy birthday and is going to be a part of our birthday traditions. Today was his debut and he was well received!

I got a ride on toy for Travis and it was quite the hit! Here are the boys checking it out. Braden thinks its just as cool as Travis did.

YUMMY!
Later this evening was dinner... Believe it or not, he got most of it in his mouth!
What a sneaky little face! I love it! He's sporting his new jacket from Gramps. By the time the weather cools off he should fit into it perfectly! Now, if it would cool off sooner, than later that would be nice. 105 every day is a little hot!

Fun on the 4th

We made it to St. George! Our apartment wasn't finished when we got here (nice, huh?) so the boys and I had to stay at my mom's place for about a week but we finally got into our own place and and are mostly unpacked.

We've been doing a lot of unpacking, playing in the pool, going to parks, shopping (gotta love all the random trips to the store after a move!) unpacking and more unpacking. Here are some pictures from the 4th:

Braden and I went to see the fireworks. Travis stayed at home with Nana and slept through it all. The three of us had matching shirts for the 4th but I didn't get a picture of us all in them. So sad...
Here is St. George at night. The temple is right there in the center of the picture. Our apartment is somewhere in there towards the bottom right. We can see the D on the mountain from our windows. I told Braden the D was for Darton. He knew it wasn't really, so I confessed but Darton is way cooler than Dixie College, right?!
Here's Braden waiting for the fireworks: He was so excited. Earlier in the day he said, "It's fireworks day! I can't believe it! I've waited my whole life for fireworks!"
Just another picture while we waited. When the fireworks finally started, he kept saying, "I'm so excited!" as he clasped his hands together with a silly grin. He said that about a hundred times during the show! I'm so glad he enjoyed it so much!
Hope you all had fun on the 4th, too!

Hello, Goodbye

Goodbye Voyager!
She suffered death by transmission, poor thing.

Hello Civic!
I have the greatest mom and mom-out-law (that's your new title, Julie!) Ha ha! They made the perfect team in getting the civic from San Diego to Seaside. Thank you ladies!

Moving day tomorrow...
Don't worry, I've packed all the important things!

The Trav Man's First Haircut

Here are a couple of pictures of Travis' first haircut. He was unbelievably wiggly and squirmy. It's a wonder his hair turned out as cute as it did. He looks like a little man now!

Now you know...

I'm sure most of you know by know that the boys and I are moving to St. George, not Provo. I figured I'd post about it anyway for those of you who slipped through the cracks. Didn't know? Now you do! We will be living near the boys' great grandparents and within driving distance to the boys' dad, and grandparents and the best part... little to no SNOW! We've got an apartment lined up, a moving truck reserved and all that is left is packing! We are heading out on Friday the 26th (Just 11 days! Yes, I'm counting... I can't wait!)

Duck, Duck, GOOSE!

Duck...
Duck...
Goose!
GEESE!
Today we went to feed the geese (and the few ducks, but mostly the huge, swarming herd of geese!)

They were anything but shy and just about took our fingers off if we didn't throw the bread to them quickly enough. We went through an entire loaf of bread in no time at all!
