Autobots, Transform!

My little guys transformed into two very handsome "autobots" for Halloween. Braden was Optimus Prime and since they don't make Bumblebee costumes tiny enough for Travis, he was just a normal bumblebee. Close enough, right?! People who knew transformers laughed and thought it was ridiculously cute. I usually dress up with the kids for Halloween but I was lame and just wore a transformers shirt. Still, at least we kept with the theme. I'm a fan of family-themed costumes! Its fun.
Here's my little bumblebee chillaxin' towards the end of the night.
Braden had a blast trick-or-treating. We went to a church party that was held in a culdesac that was blocked off from traffic. It was so awesome to have the whole party outside. The weather was great and there was an awesome turnout. It was the best Halloween I've had in years!
Trick-or-treat!
Here's my transformer in line to get into the jump house.
I think he'd live in one of these things if he could.
Here's the Halloween gang! My mom was a geisha or China doll - however you want to look at it. More people know what a geisha is but she wasn't so excited about what that implied. Haha!
There were tons of tables and chairs that filled the inner circle and that's where we all ate dinner. Then people lined the sidewalks and handed out candy to the cute little trick-or-treaters. I forgot my camera so I had to drive a whopping 3 minutes back home to grab it. While I was gone, Braden helped hand out candy with his Nana. He was having so much fun doing that, I had to remind him that it was time for us to go around trick-or-treating, also!
When we got home, Braden said it was the best day ever. He was really excited because I told him on Halloween he could eat as much candy as he wanted but after that I was going to ration it. He asked what ration meant. I love little teaching moments! I said, "Ration is when mommy says you can only have a few pieces a day." He still kept asking before he had each piece if it was okay to eat it. I reminded him that it was still Halloween so he could have whatever he wanted. Still, he only ate 4 or 5 pieces. What a good boy!

  1. What a great party! Our last ward blocked off a block and had a party that way - it was so wonderful! Glad you had a good night!

  2. Great costumes! Ellis also love the bounce houses. And she also didn't have as much candy as I would have expected. What sweet young children. I wonder how many more years of true innocence we have left :).

  3. I just showed this to the boys, and Bradley is amazed at how big Travis and Braden are! We totally need to get together.
