Most of you know that I've been wanting to go to cosmetology school for quite a while. I changed my mind and decided to go with medical billing and coding for a while because school was so much faster to get through and I wouldn't have to leave my boys for as long. After lots of thoughts and prayers, I decided what I really want to do is hair so.... I looked into the local schools a little more and found one that I think I will absolutely LOVE!
Someone ended up delaying his start date which left a position wide open for me just in time. Classes start next week! Thanks to my mom and some great friends, I will be able to have awesome childcare for my boys and not have to break the bank with day care costs and I will feel much more comfortable leaving them for the day. As excited as I am, I am a little nervous to leave my boys. They've been my life for the past 4 1/2 years and venturing out and doing something else during the day is kind of scary. However, I know they will be in good hands and I don't question that I will be loving what I'm doing.

Hooray! Oh, that's super-exciting! I'm so glad you have your mom nearby and good friends. I know that would pull my heart strings bad if I had to leave my boys at day care. Glad you're excited!! Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI'm SO happy to hear this. I have to tell you that I was sad when you first mentioned that you weren't going to cosmetology school because you are so good at it and because that is what you like. I'm glad you are going for something that you love and are WAY good at!
