Why I love Mondays

I have Mondays off school (I go all day Saturday so don't think I'm too lucky for skipping out on having to be somewhere job-related on Mondays.) This is my favorite day of the week because the boys and I choose something special to go out and do that is geared towards the kids. Last Monday we went to Pirate Island Pizza (by far the coolest place in town!) and the Monday before that, we played arcade games. Tomorrow I think we'll play a competitive game of mini golf. I bet Travis will win. Ha ha!

Here is a picture of Braden with all his tickets he won from hitting the jackpot! He hit a sign on a dump truck with his coin and won 100 tickets! What a proud moment...

Here is Travis at Pirate Island.
Posing next to a sign that says, "Beware of Pirates."
For those of you who aren't familiar with Pirate Island, I'll explain a little bit. It is a pizza place where the servers are dressed as pirates, the bathrooms are labeled "Pirates" and "Maidens," the whole place is decked out like you are in a cave, dimly lit with taverns and the whole bit. There is a big ship built into the wall and they have a projector that plays pirate movies while you eat. It is totally geared towards children and we got to watch Treasure Island. There is also an area for arcade games and all the prizes that you can redeem your tickets for are pirate related, ie. pirate bandanas, pirate balls, swords, gold coins, etc. Braden was having so much fun in the place that he refused to take any pictures. Next time we go I will have to remember to take my camera. These pictures are just from my phone. I'm not sure who enjoyed the place more; me or the kids. Way better than Chuck E. Cheese's if you ask me!
And, Tye, when you read this I know you will be drooling over this place. Am I wrong? You should totally go in dressed as Jack Sparrow and get an application when you get back. They'd give you a job in a heartbeat! Ha ha ha!
P.S. I cut my hair... again. That's why I LOVE short hair. There are so many styles you can switch to every few months. Cut, style, get bored with it, cut it again, lather, rinse, repeat! Think I'm going to school in the right industry? I do!

*Don't forget to check out the next post. 2 posts in one day, unbelievable, I know.
